Q/ How long will it take to receive my print?

Unframed prints arrive in approximately 2 - 2 1/2 weeks. Framed prints arrive in approximately 3 weeks. Please note that all prints are made-to-order and we do not stock inventory. Once your print is made by our printer, it must be allowed to outgas for 24 hours  before being framed and/or shipped

Q/ Do you ship international?

We do ship unframed prints internationally via UPS. Please allow an extra week for delivery. Unfortunately, because of the high shipping cost we do not ship framed prints internationally at this time. However, we are happy to refer you to a local and reputable frame.

Q/ How is my order shipped?

All 11x14” prints are shipped inside a fitted plastic sleeve in a rigid mailer. 20x24” and 30x40” prints are shipped in a special fortified tube to guard against bending or damage. Unframed prints ship via USPS. Framed prints are shipped in a bespoke cardboard box with a fitted interior armature for the frame and are shipped via FedEx. 

Q/ How are your prints made?

All ArtStar prints are printed to the highest industry quality by a fine art printer using fully archival Epson inkjet pigments on Hahnemuhle (cotton rag) paper. This printing method is also known as giclee and differes from digital C-prints or screenprinting. All prints are fully archival and use all-natural materials. All prints are printed with a ½ inch white border to allow for matting and framing and we never crop or otherwise alter our artists’ images.

Q/ What is an edition?

An edition is a limited run of a specific piece of artwork. For example, an edition of 15 means that only 15 examples of that work will be printed – ever. If you own edition 2/15 then you own the second editioned piece of that print run. Once an edition is closed, no further prints will be made of it at that size.

Q/ How do I know my print is authentic?

All prints are accompanied by a signed and numbered certificate of authenticity to maintain the integrity of your print. The authenticity card contains the artist’s signature, the edition number and the title of the work, as well as the ArtStar certification of authenticity.

Q/ How are your frames made?

All mats and frames are custom made to fit your print. All mats are acid free and custom cut to perfectly fit your artwork. Mats are approximately 4” wide. All prints are framed by a professional framer and have Plexiglas fronts to prevent against breakage or scratchng and a taped backing with the authenticity card mounted on the back. All framed prints are accompanied by a hanger and nail so that they are ready for the wall.

Q/ What are the dimensions of your frames?

Black, White and Natural Wood Frames:

  • 11 x 14  - 17 x 20 inches (43cm x 51cm)
  • 20 x 24 - 26 x 30 inches (66cm x 76cm)
  • 30 x 40 - 40 x 50 inches (102cm x 127cm)
Q/ How do I care for my print?

Avoid touching the surface of your print. Oils can be transferred to the print from your hands and rough treatment can scratch the surface and harm the pigment.  We recommend that you frame your print as soon as possible as this will help to protect the work once it is on display.

Q/ How do I buy work for my office?

We are happy to work with you on curating a corporate collection or B2B. Please contact hello@artstar.com.

Q/ What is your return policy?

Every ArtStar print is made-to-order just for you. As such, we do not allow returns but will gladly exchange the art for another print of equal or lesser value for the following reasons:

  1. You have received the incorrect image.
  2. You have received the incorrect size.
  3. You have received the incorrect frame.

** Please note that we employ professional framers, shippers and handlers on all orders and only handle our prints with white gloves. While occasional damage by USPS or FedEx in transit is out of our control, we are happy to work with you to resolve any damage that does occur. However, damage in transit is relatively rare.

Should you need to return your print due to one of the above reasons, please ship your print back to us in the original packaging to: ArtStar Returns, 405 West 23rd St 3C, New York, NY 10011.
