Nick Lamia is an artist whose work includes drawing, painting, printmaking, installation and sculpture. He is the recipient of a Guggenheim fellowship as well as residencies at the MacDowell Colony, the Robert Blackburn Print Workshop and the Triangle Artists Association where he is now a member of the board of directors. 500 of his small scale drawings are included in the first ever Bronx Museum Biennial, which opened in June 2011. Recent exhibitions include “70 Years of Abstract Painting: Excerpts” at Jason McCoy Gallery in New York (April/May 2011) and a commissioned site-specific installation for the exhibition “Marie Celeste” at ArtSpace in New Haven (May-September 2011). He was selected to participate in the Artist in the Marketplace (AIM) program at the Bronx Museum in 2010.
