I work daily in my studio. The majority of my paintings are oil paint on canvas. I find that my ideas flow most naturally when I am immersed in a particular theme or genre. For me, the blend of teaching and painting is particularly synergistic; I’m a better artist when I’ve spent some time in the classroom and a better professor when I’ve spent time in my studio.
I have been represented exclusively by Woodward Gallery since 1994 and have had numerous solo exhibitions with them. I am also an Assistant Professor of Drawing and Painting in the Lamar Dodd School of Art, University of Georgia.
I was selected in 2011 for the United Nations Art in Embassies Program and will have large scale paintings in the ambassador of Tel Aviv’s residence beginning in January 2012.
