We posted about this installation last week on our facebook (which we discovered via the excellent blog This Is Colossal) and since then it's been cropping up all over the internet - and it's easy to see why! The deceptively simple project by artist Yayoi Kusama for the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art entitled The Obliteration Room started as a furnished room painted completely white and then over 2 weeks kids visiting the museum were given thousands upon thousands of colored dot stickers to basically go bananas with the stickers over the furniture, walls and even the ceiling of the room. The best part is the progression of pictures as the all-white space becomes covered in a riot of colored dots. And we're sure some of the kids left covered in dots too!
