Aero Swing, David Levinthal and LittleCollector for MoMA Design Store
Sometimes we get to do partnerships that are just so exciting they make us want to burst with anticipation. Which is why we're really excited to finally announce our latest partnership with iconic American photographer David Levinthal and the MoMA Design Store!
Now available for purchase only at the MoMA Design Store in SOHO are two new photographs from Levinthal's Coney Island series which are drawn from the artist's personal collection of vintage toys. Levinthal produced these images exclusively for LittleCollector and the MoMA Design Store and they are available in-store only. However, other images from David's Coney Island series are available online via LittleCollector, as always :)
Says Levinthal: "
The vintage Coney Island mechanical toys from the 40s and 50s that I photographed were a reminder of my time at Playland at the Beach in San Francisco. This old park, built in 1928 and demolished in 1972, was a very special destination of my youth, growing up in the Bay Area in the 50s. One of the main attractions there was the Fun House and its Hall of Mirrors, featured in the final scenes of Orson Well’s film, The Lady from Shanghai. I was trying to capture in these photographs, the beauty, the wonder and the joy that I used to feel when we went to Playland."
The two new images, Aero Swing (above) and Ride-A-Rocket (below) are available only as 11 x 14 framed prints and are printed with fully archival pigments on 100% cotton rag paper and are accompanied by a signed authenticity card. At $200 each what better way to start your holiday shopping early!
