We were very impressed to learn recently about the initiatives that the National Gallery of Victoria is taking to make the museum accessible to even the tiniest art lovers. The museum has created a dedicated Kids Space with its own programing for children 0-8 and their families to discover art, create and explore together. Currently the NGV is showing Kaliedoscope: Art and Colour in the space which is curated especially for children. Likewise, they have also implemented a membership category just for kids called NGV Kids Club. The Gallery's website also has a highly readable section on visiting the NGV with children with its own Kids Trails and Activities with downloadable worksheets. The great and innovative programming at the NGV was brought to our attention by Emily in Australia, thanks Emily!
