I'm an avid fan of David Attenborough, whose documentaries and books explore the natural world. He talks about his childhood pets and humble collection of curiosities relating to animals, how this nurtured and informed his life-long interest in the subject. It always reminds me of my own curiosity in youth toward the natural world with all it's wonder. I picked up my Encyclopedia of Natural History - read through and picked out some of my favourite animals to interpret. What a healthy subject to nourish a young mind, I thought.
